TALTECH pilot is designed to prepare and manage the pilot on safeguarding 6G-connected autonomous vehicles, ensuring proper execution and data collection. Task activities include detailed design and planning of the pilot’s experiments, resources, and setup; this encompasses preparing the testbed, configuring the mobile network, planning self-driving shuttle routes and missions, setting-up network equipment, and establishing the data collection infrastructure. The pilot execution involves conducting a real experiment with a self-driving shuttle, mobile infrastructure, and V2I communication, during which cyber-threat scenarios targeting the 6G-based V2I communications infrastructure are triggered (see Section 1.2.4 for the details). The data collection solution will be engaged to gather the scenario execution data for subsequent analysis and assessment of key security performance measures. This task delivers a dataset with anonymized data collected during the pilot execution.

TALTECH infrastructure (for pilot P2) An extensive infrastructure and advanced equipment are made available by TALTECH; they include an autonomous vehicle (AV) shuttle minibus engaged in pilot operations on specified roads, replicating essential urban elements and traffic infrastructure found in a city. The test track features a private 5G+ mobile network, various smart units, like intelligent traffic signs, EV chargers, and other 6G UEs for V2V and V2I experiments. Smart traffic infrastructure (iseAuto) that includes pedestrian crossings, traffic lights, etc., is available and forms the backbone of TALTECH’s mobility as a service (MaaS) ecosystem; it provides an architecture and open service, referencing the Estonian X-Road concept, which delivers mobility solutions requests asynchronously. Moreover, the above are complemented by TALTECH’s IoT big data platform for automated vehicle sensors that serves as a centralized repository designed to collect & store a wealth of vital data (navigation, environmental, sensor) generated from the autonomous shuttle’s operations.
